Phrases to be Used Upon... is an episodic tableau exploring the fragmented observations of human nature we come across in daily life and how we respond and react to these.  The play brings attention to the small moments in life that are easily overlooked. To the public, we compose ourselves as a perfect image. However, life is constantly interrupted and cannot be constructed as an ideal narrative. So why staging it as such? This play deals with the trivial aspects of life that we usually want to conceal from our surroundings: humiliation, loneliness, boredom, fear, and miscommunication.

First performed at THE PLATFORM THEATRE, LONDON, MAY 9 to MAY 11 2018
